SOCIAL AND COMPETITIVE BADMINTON

 

Kettering Badminton Club is a social and competitive badminton club and has been a proud member of Badminton England’s Premier Club. This status is the clubmark standard and is the universally acknowledged cross sport accreditation scheme for community sports clubs.

We play at Bishop Stopford School Sports Hall, Kettering, NN15 6BJ. The Hall has 4 badminton courts, the use of changing facilities, male and female showers and car parking. 

 

We run junior coaching nights and two senior club nights as well as a number of competitive team who compete in the Northants League.

 

Junior Club: 

• Our Junior Club nights take place on a Friday nights 6-7pm

• Recognised Level 2 and Level 1 coaches

Adult Senior Club:

• Friday Night is the main club night between 7pm and 9:45pm. 

• Consist of men's doubles, ladies doubles, mixed doubles, any doubles and the odd singles match using predominantly a board rota system which ensures fair and varying games throughout the nights.

• Wednesday Night

  • The competitive team matches are also on a Wednesday night 7pm to 9pm using two courts

  • If space alllows our Adult Senior Club also play on a Wednesday night 7pm to 9pm.​

​Socials:

• The club have a number of social events throughout the year ranging from meals out, go karting, casino nights, BBQs etc. Members of the adult senior club often go for a social drink after club nights. ​
